After a brief visit and slumber party in Albuquerque with our friends, the Lines', we drove to Clovis, New Mexico. Grandma Sandi and Papa Bill are the only grandparents that didn't come to visit in Japan, so the kids weren't quite sure about them. After being there with them and more cousins for about 2 minutes, it was like no time had passed at all. We had a great time with Grandma Sandi and Papa Bill. They fixed up their little rental house for us to stay in, so we had our own little space. Their house was full of kids, too. My sister Jana and her daughter Mayson, live there, and my sister Marisa and her girls and son were visiting with us, along with Sara. So, for the first time in about 5 years, all my sisters were together with all our kids. It was a lot of fun. I got to show the kids and David where I went to school and the house I grew up in. We also spent a fun evening with our friends the Lindsey's. (They came to Japan in 2005 and went on our Hiroshima adventure with us.) I got to celebrate my 32nd birthday with my sisters and mom. For my birthday we got to go to the curry county fair. It's not a big fair, but the kids were in awe at all the rides and animals. They had never been to anything like that before. I was so surprised at Abby and Jacob. They wanted to ride all these big kid rides...over and over and over, AND all by themselves. They weren't scared or anything! It was a blast!
