Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas, lazy and quiet. Most of the snow melted on Christmas Eve, unfortunately. Oh well. We got up about 6 am and took a good two hours to open presents. (We take turns opening gifts, one at a time, I love it that way.) We had a late breakfast and sat around playing and watching our new movies all day. It's been a nice break for David especially. We are so grateful for family and friends and all the blessings we have. Some of our fun gifts included, Grandma jammies, (handmade for all three kids and millions of other grandkids by David's mom), all 8 seasons of the Cosby Show on DVD, books, games (Uno Attack is our new favorite!), slippers, shoes, shirts, and many more fun things. David finally did it, he surprised me. I usually just get what I want and say it's from him, but this year he surprised me. I thought I had him figured out when I caught him looking at sewing machines online. I have wanted one for a while, and I thought he was shopping for it. Then when he brought out this big heavy box, I thought for sure it was a sewing machine. Well, I was truly surprised when it was a schnazzy KitchenAid stand mixer. It is super nice, I've always eyed them in the store but they are expensive and I just use my hand mixer. Anyway, he got me good with the surprise and I love it.

We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year tonight! We will post pictures soon of our New Year's Eve night out. And...it's SNOWING again! Hurray!
