A Man and His Lego's

My husband is so just a kid at heart. He's the most amazing Dad to our kids. But, sometimes, he gets the "hankerin'" as he calls it, for a little "me" time. What does he do with his me-time? He steals the Lego's from the kids' room and morphs into Bob the Builder. It's the funniest and coolest thing. I came downstairs from putting the kids to bed the other night, and this is what I found. After a while, I finally went to bed and didn't hear him come to bed at all. This morning I woke to find a fully functional semi-truck with trailer and crane, beckoning me from the kitchen counter. Are the kids allowed to play with these masterpieces, I ask? Of course NOT. They are not to be touched, only looked at from a distance. Funny, funny, and it's that kind of thing that makes me fall for this man again and again.

Nathan and David are most certainly brothers...we need to live close so they can 'play' Legos together...

funny!! My thing may not be legos but I can spend hours playing with Alexis' doll's, especially her American Girl doll she received for Christmas this past year. Grant will come down and see me doing their hair, trying on new clothes, getting them ready for bed or for the day, and he just rolls his eyes at me, with a smile on his face mind you. So, I can totally relate with needing some "me" time. Now, don't get me wrong, I do have other "me" time activities, but sometimes it's just fun for me to play with dolls.

Hate to admit it, but I can see Owen doing the exact same thing. OF course we always joke about me having 4 kids rather than the actual 3.
