Our first snow!

How fun this is! Jacob and Abby were both born in San Diego, so no snow there. It RARELY snows in Yokosuka, Japan. We had one slushy snow in the last 4 years. So...yesterday when it started to really snow, we were all running around here like kids in a candy store. When David got home early from work, he was like a little kid, it was so cute. The snow really came down fast, and by the time Jacob got home from school, (about 30 minutes late), it was piled up pretty good! We got everyone bundled up and out to play. It was just really cold, too, so we didn't play long. But, we kept an eye on it for the rest of the night so we could be sure it wouldn't go anywhere! This morning, the kids were ready to get all bundled again at about 6 am! They played out today and we had to make a special trip to the Home Depot for a snow shovel. David promised wonderous fun and snow fort building to the kids tomorrow if the snow stays put! We are just loving the feeling of this Christmas season! It sure feels like Christmas when there's white stuff everywhere.

Oh, I am so jealous !!! SNOW!!! It looks like they had a great time playing and I hope you got a great snowman or fort built. Also, your family picture is super cute! I hope you mail us one.

I loved it when it snowed there - although we didn't have a yard to play in.

We don't have ANY snow here...it has been raining all day, so maybe with some luck it will get cold enough to turn to snow. :)
