Getting To Know You Christmas Style

I've been tagged again! :) Getting to know you Christmas Style: 1.) Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper 2). Real tree or artificial tree? I can't ever remember having a real tree. Our fake tree is huge and beautiful. I love to decorate the tree a different theme each year. This year: colored lights, all different decorated Christmas tree ornaments all over. Abby and I painted most of them! 3). When do you put up your tree? The weekend after Thanksgiving, but I would do it earlier if David would let me! :) 4). When do you take the tree down? After New Year's. I hate to take it down! 5). Do you like eggnog? Never tried it, actually! 6) Favorite gift ever received? My opal heart earrings, from David when I was on my mission still! He sent them in a ring box, just to freak me out. All the other missionaries teased me and wouldn't let me play missionary games...hee hee. 7) Favorite gift ever given? I think I have yet to have a favorite. I need to find the perfect gift for David for next year, our 10th wedding year. But, so far, I loved giving him his Creative 60 gig media player. He wanted it, but I was sneaky and surprised him! 8) Clear lights or colored lights? colored on the tree, depending on the theme, and clear lights outside. 9) Hardest person to buy for? My dad 10) Easiest person to buy for? The kids 11) Do you have a nativity? Many! One is the Fisher Price for the kids. They love it. One is small and porcelin, one in ornament form, and my favorite, new this year, my Japanese navtivity! I love that one. 12) E-mail or regular mail Christmas Cards? Both. Mail to some, email to others. 13) Worst gift ever received? alarm clock! 14) Favorite Christmas movie? The Santa Clause, Santa Clause 2, Home Alone, and Forgotten Carols 15) When do you start Christmas shopping? January, and all year long, except I always forget and then we end up with too much. I really need to make a list! 16) Favorite thing(s) to eat at Christmas? green bean casserole 17) Favorite Christmas song? Joy to The World 18) Travel at Christmas or stay home? This year, staying home. It's a white Christmas for us, we're enjoying it at home! 19) Can you name all of Santas' reindeer? I think so. 20) Do you have an angel or star on your tree? This year a star. 21) Do you open gifts on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? All on Christmas Day. 22) What is the most annoying thing about this time of year? When people get crazy about gifts, like this new Wii game system. I heard someone stole a Wii system from a nursing home! Geez. 23) Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Everything wrapped and under/around/in front of the tree. 24) Do you hang mistletoe? Yes 25) Favorite Holiday memory as a child? Christmas movie nights with popcorn, hot cider with red hots in it, and m&m's candy. 26) When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I don't ever remember hearing the "truth". 27) Snow! Love it or Dread it? So far, love it, but I'll let you know in 3 or 5 months when it's still going here... 28) Can you ice skate? No, but the kids saw that ice rink down in Newport and are begging me. Maybe after that, we'll have another black eye picture to post! :) 29) What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Teaching my kids and myself about the reason we celebrate. Also, we like to remember the Prophet Joseph's birthday on the 23rd. Spending time with family is my favorite! Having my kids get to know their grandparents is pretty awesome.
