Pinewood Derby

At the church, first place in Bear Den and First overall.

David and Jacob had a great time planning, carving, painting and racing his Derby car this year. It was a fun time for everyone! Jacob won the overall racing at our ward level (2 wards combined) and so today, we went to the Chesapeake Square Mall so he could be part of the District Cub Scout Pinewood Derby. I never thought I'd actually see it for real, only something in one of our fav movies "Down and Derby", but I saw a Cub Scout dad actually put the car into a foam and tissue paper laden precious box after the race... Yikes! We brought Jacob's car home and let Jackson play with it. Ha ha. Jacob came in fourth today and so he won't be going to the Council level. He's okay with that and he and David are already making plans for next year's car and how much faster they are going to make it. Fun times with my boys!
