Loved Holly's new look on her blog, so of course had to copy. But, chocolate was the one I had to have today. I figured it was also brown and kind of goes with the season of eating, I mean, Thanksgiving... wink, wink...
I also changed the name of our blog. It used to be Ward Gaijin Adventure. Well, we finally feel like we are getting back into the swing of things in the USA. Still a few times a week I can't do the math on the time difference back to my friends in Japan. I still have moments of unbelief and sticker shock at some of the prices of groceries. I am always trying to decipher the New England accent, and when I try to do it myself, it a pathetic sounding British type accent! But we love Rhode Island. It's beautiful and I can't wait for the snow!
The new name of our blog is "It's okay, I'm with the Band." I am married to the most wonderful man. When we got married, I told him I would follow him anywhere so he could play the drums. I love it when people ask me what my husband does in the Navy and I tell them he's a musician. They always say, well what does he play? I love it when they raise their eyebrows as I say, he's a drummer. The drummer...he's the quiet, mysterious, tall, dark and handsome guy in the back. I always ask him if we can come to his gigs. He sometimes doesn't know if it's a private function, only for a certain Navy group. I say, well, I want to go, I want to listen to you play. So, I'll go and say, It's okay, I'm with the BAND. It seems to give me a feeling of power. Here we come to the gig, me and all three kids, going to see Daddy play, getting excited when he makes the crowd go crazy, and I always see that little stick twirl, he does just for me. It's all good, I'm with the BAND!

I totally get "I'm with the band" that is all I say to get into the football games, and for parking...being a band geek is great!
I love the new page, although I will have to time reading your blog when I'm not hungry... :)
