What does this mean to me? Nothing...before you say, geesh, nice wife, I should explain. David is a man who does his job 200% every day. He performs his instrument, takes care of his responsibilities, and even mentors along the way, and then he comes home and becomes the greatest husband and father to walk the planet.
For him to receive this award from the Navy is nice, don't get me wrong. He does more than his share of work at work, and he's been placed in a position usually reserved for those one or two rankings above him, and he's been doing it for almost 2 years with glowing reviews. So the recognition is a good thing, but for me, it's only a small confirmation of what this man is to me every day and moment of our lives together.
On this eve of a lover's holiday, I just wanted to pen my feelings for my sailor of the year, husband of the best 10 years of my life, and my very best friend forever. (go on ahead with the awe's...)

Congrats, David! That is such an awesome accomplishment. Way to go!
Congrats from us too, Adam was bandsman of the month a couple of months ago. Since he is the guy who makes out the certificates, he figured something was up when he didn't have one to make up that month.

BTW, Sheila, that was a wonderful tribute that you gave David. I don't know about the others, but I definately pulled a nose hair on that one. No, seriously it was a great tribute to David. I just thought the 'nose hair' would bring back memories for David growing up, back in the day. Hee!! Hee!!
