My little Jackson loves the water!
It's definately summer here now. Finally. Everyone told us we wouldn't have much of a spring, and boy were they right! We went from cold to stinkin hot with about 2 weeks of nice spring. Weird. Anyway, the kids are glad, but they sweat a lot, it's very humid! We love to put the sprinkler on. Jackson just has a blast out there. We are trying to fill our summer with fun stuff. Jacob and Abby are in the reading club at the Middletown Public Library. So, we go every few days and do fun things for that, and we have a lot of library books around here. We also go to story time at Barnes & Noble. We're looking forward to Grandma Sandi coming in a week. She'll stay with the kids while David and I go on our 10th anniversary trip. We decided to go to Washington D.C. We're going to spend 3 days going to museums and monuments...with no kids! :) And we're planning to do some family work at the DC Temple. Then when we get back, I'm taking my mom to NYC for 3 days as a thanks. Neither of us has ever been there, so I'm very excited! I already have tickets for Phantom of the Opera on Broadway and the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island tour. I can't wait! We are also celebrating the Black Ship Festival here. See my posting from last May about Shimoda. Shimoda Japan is the sister city to Newport. Every year they celebrate the Black Ship Festival in both cities. So, last year, we were in Shimoda and this year, we're in Newport! We're going to take my mom and the kids to the Taiko Drum Festival. I hope it gives my mom a little taste of our adventures in Japan. So, yay for summer!

Ok, Jacob looks like your dad alot! Your kids are so cute. How fun that you get to celebrate a Japanese festival in the states! That sounds cool.
We went to the Taiko drum thing one year - it was at the International Tennis Hall of Fame - it was pretty good.
