When the weather gets hot, who doesn't love ice cream? David has mastered the art of home made ice cream. We got this lovely machine when we lived in Japan. It's been so fun! I don't have a clue about it, but David has become quite the expert. He's got a system and knows how it all works...and the result is Delicious!!! Our favorite is Vanilla, but we've tried chocolate, strawberry and cookies and cream. All yummy! We know it's summer when the ice cream maker starts churning!

That's so funny. I was just thinking today that it's time to make some ice cream again! I actually bought supplies at the store and everything! I can't wait.

I LOVE making ice-cream. That is actually my job when we do make it. It's way fun and Alexis LOVES to help put the ice in and them sprinkle it with rock salt. Growing up I LOVED whatching Dad make it so I think I have the knack of making good ice-cream after watching dad do it so many times. Alot of times, the only time we made home made ice-cream was in the winter, when we would use snow. Snow, actually makes a smoother ice-cream, more so than using ice. Mmmmmm....yummy.
Just reading your post, makes me want to head down to the store and get some fixins' for some homemade ice-cream.
You're right, nothing says SUMMER like homemade ice-cream.
i would love any recipes--i don't have any, and i have a maker that never gets used for that very reason
